Students learn at different paces and have different needs in their education. You can differentiate Whooo's Reading to fit the individual needs of each of your students.
To do this, go to your Roster page, then locate and click on a student:
There, you can edit the student's quizzes, academic level, reading level, and goals.
Academic Level is the level at which the student's questions, scoring, and feedback should be on Whooo's Reading. Adjust this down from grade level for struggling readers or writers, or up from grade level for advanced students.
Quizzes can be fully customized by clicking the Edit link. Choose how many quizzes you want your students to complete, how many fill-in-the-blank and open-ended questions are on quizzes, and whether students have the help of sentence starters:
Supplemental Tasks are all of the other actions students can take on Whooo's Reading. Choose two supplemental tasks to accompany quizzes, and specify how many of those tasks you want your students to complete:
Note: The available supplemental tasks under a student are the same as the supplemental task goals you have set class-wide, and only the number of tasks can be adjusted on a student-by-student basis, not which tasks are set as goals. To remove a supplemental task goal for a student, simply set that task to zero and it will not show in that student's goals.
You can customize all of these preferences student-by-student as outlined in this help article, or for each class as a whole (learn more here).
Note: Changing settings for a class will override settings set on a student-by-student basis, so class settings should be adjusted before each student's settings are adjusted.
