Whooo’s Reading does not include reading material. Instead of having a restrictive library of texts for students to read, Whooo's Reading is designed so that students can read anything, and then search for that title in our extensive database in order to complete a Quiz, which are designed to apply to any book or text students choose.
Even when the book is not listed in our search results, teachers do not have to write quiz questions. Instead, our algorithms will automatically create a quiz for the text once the student adds it manually. For more about quizzes, see Quizzes.
To search the database of books in a student account, click the activity you would like to do on your Dashboard, like a Quiz or logging Minutes. That will bring up a search bar where you can type in the title of your reading material:
If the correct book is listed, simply select it and choose your next action. If it is not listed, scroll to the very bottom of the results and click Add it now.
This will allow you to type in the book's title and author, and note whether it is fiction or non-fiction.
Note: Inputting this information correctly is important, so the quiz algorithm has enough information to correctly assemble the quiz questions.
If you would like access to the book search feature as a teacher, here's how.
